For Overseas Customers
Who is Modern Antenna?
We create kimono designs at our design studio in Arashiyama, Kyoto, Japan. We do retail and wholesale to companies. Our costumes are often featured in TV shows and movies.
We've also done a lot of collaborations with various media, including popular Japanese manga (like JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, have you heard of it?) and DC Comics.
We're lucky to have opportunities for people outside of Japan to see our work. Our work is in the permanent collections of Victoria and Albert Museum in London, UK and a Rautenstrauch-Joest-Museum in Cologne, Germany. We're also getting offers from other places and are excited to have more opportunities to share our work.
We want to bring our beautiful kimonos to more people around the world. That's why we have started using an international shipping service.
The details of this process are explained in the next section.
Thank you for giving us the opportunity to connect with people all over the world that we haven't met yet.

Wear KIMONO in your way!
In the modern era, kimonos were considered formal and difficult to wear. There were many rules and etiquette for how to wear it, and even a slang term “Kimono Police” was born.
In reality, the kimono was part of everyday life (no different from a shirt worn every day), and each person had his or her own style.
Later, with the modernization of Japan, Western culture was introduced and brought about major changes to the kimono, leading us to the present day.
In other words, we are free. Of course, the traditional style is cool, and you will love mixing it with Western items. Shirts, hoodies, boots, clogs, hats, sunglasses.... Anything goes.
Sure, tying an obi might be complicated, but the belt you're currently wearing around your pants goes well with an obi. You can even wear it like a coat without an obi or belt.
